Our Technicians are certified by Cummins Western Canada.
Since starting in business in 1983, XL Mechanical Service Ltd. has repaired hundreds of Cummins diesel engines. We now specialize exclusively in B series Cummins engines found in Dodge pickup trucks. Our factory trained diesel mechanics have over 45 years of experience in Cummins diesel engines and are certified by Cummins Western Canada. We carry a full range of Cummins specific tools and diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair engine, fuel, electronic and mechanical issues. We use only Cummins OE parts in all of our repairs.
Replacing an engine is expensive; we repair engines that others won’t. By offering multiple repair options, our in-frame engine repairs average 50% less in cost than other repair shops or dealerships. We offer many options from specific repair of your engine to repaired and resealed engines, rebuilt long blocks, and rebuilt complete drop-ins, to used complete engines that have been ran, tested and verified to be good. If you are looking for a new engine, our new engines are built to better than Cummins specifications and they come with a full factory warranty. We also repair all major components of the Dodge truck, including: brakes, steering, electrical, transmission, transfer case, and differentials.
About Our Rates
Our shop rates are significantly lower than others (we’ve checked) and we offer convenient after hours drop off or pick up. The parts and service departments are open most weekends. We have teamed up with Dodge Diesel Truck World to offer you one of the largest inventories of used Dodge truck parts in Alberta. Now with two yards, our combined wrecking divisions carry a large inventory of engines, fuel injectors, pumps, engine parts, wiring harnesses, transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, ECM’s, PCM’s, interior parts, body parts, wheels, and tires. New units are added monthly. Along with used parts we stock new parts as well, such as Bosch injectors, injection pumps, head studs, aftermarket supply pumps, engine gaskets, and engine hard parts.
As a final option if you feel that your truck is not worth repairing, for any reason, XL Mechanical Service Ltd. will offer to purchase your truck at fair market salvage value in any condition.
