Central Alberta Mopar Association

Have you heard of the Central Alberta Mopar Association (CAMA)? A lot of you have, however, many have not. So, what is it and why should you care? The CAMA is a great group with a passion for automobiles in our community. Here at XL Mechanical Service Ltd. we share in that passion for great vehicles. This group of Mopar enthusiasts got together and formed a non-profit organization that prides itself with helping our community.

Supporting the Red Deer Community

The Central Alberta Mopar Association, located in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, carries out many community events and helps our local charities. Each year, CAMA hosts car shows to raise money. This money has gone to help many different charities in the past. Each year, this group gives funding to these organizations to help with whatever they may need. The best part of helping these community organizations is seeing CAMA members do what they love in order for our community to benefit.

Passionate about Mopar

CAMA is a group of people that provides a place for those enthusiastic about Mopar vehicles. You can own one of these amazing show quality cars, however it is not necessary to become a member. You just need to be enthusiastic about the preservation, restoration and appreciation of the vehicles of the Mopar family. They welcome any Mopar vehicle, anything from a fully restored, daily driver or project car.

This is a list of the Chrysler vehicles that are welcome: AMC, Chalmers Motor Cars, Desoto, Dodge, Fargo, Plymouth, Ram Trucks, Eagle, Hudson, Imperial, Jeep, Maxwell, Nash, Plymouth, or Willys.

Membership

You should consider joining if you are passionate about this line of automotive, and enjoy giving back to your community. Membership runs for a full year, it starts from September 1st of the current year, till August 31st of the next year. There are great benefits for being a member. It not only covers your own membership for the year, but also your spouse. Only one person has voting privileges however.

As a member, you will not only have the privilege of encountering other Mopar enthusiasts, but also the membership offers great discounts at Red Deer Auto Value parts on most items (motor oil is an example of items that are excluded), a Christmas dinner party, free entry to the annual show for yourself and your car, a tasty summer barbeque, a chance to sell your old parts at the Annual Quicktimes Swap meet table, and help finding parts and other resources you need.

New membership is $20 and to renew your membership it is $15. So, you can see what a great deal you get while you are helping the Red Deer community at the same time. Our community prides itself on the help they get from partners like these as they help people who are in need locally. You too, can help and have fun at the same time!

Their Facebook page and website are kept updated so you can know where and when the upcoming events will be.
